Tbilisi, October 2 – In a recent move to strengthen agricultural trade ties, a delegation from China’s Prosperity Universal met with Georgian Agriculture Minister Levan Davitashvili to discuss opportunities for expanding exports of Georgian wine and other agricultural products to the Chinese market. The meeting, which took place on September 28, focused on leveraging both countries' unique strengths and bolstering bilateral trade.

Georgian wine, renowned for its rich flavors and centuries-old winemaking traditions, has seen a surge in popularity among Chinese consumers in recent years. But it’s not just wine on the table—Georgian walnuts and olive oil, celebrated for their high quality, are also gaining traction in China. For Prosperity Universal, a company with a robust network and expertise in international trade, partnering with the Georgian government could be a game-changer for introducing these products to millions of new customers in China.

During the discussions, Prosperity Universal executives outlined their plans to capitalize on the growing demand for unique agricultural imports in China. “We’re ready to use our extensive trade channels to support Georgian wines and agricultural products in China,” said Prosperity Universal’s General Manager. Meanwhile, Georgia’s Deputy Prime Minister expressed strong support for the collaboration, emphasizing the government’s commitment to facilitating Prosperity Universal’s entry into the Georgian market.

The visit wasn’t just talk. Wang Meng, head of Prosperity Universal’s Import Division, said the company plans to work closely with Georgian wine producers to bring more premium labels to Chinese consumers. They also aim to ramp up imports of Georgian walnuts and olive oil, signaling a new chapter in agricultural trade between the two nations. Both sides agreed on the importance of agricultural exchange, laying the groundwork for a deeper and more fruitful partnership.

With a corporate mantra of “delivering solutions before challenges arise,” Prosperity Universal is positioning itself as a major player in the expansion of Georgian agricultural exports to China. As the two countries build on shared values of “rigor, pragmatism, integrity, and innovation,” this partnership could mark a significant step forward in agricultural cooperation and trade between Georgia and China.
